OREANDA-NEWS. The International Aluminium Institute published the information that total world production of primary aluminium in September 2006 made 1 million 960 thousand tons, and daily output made 65,3 thousand tons.

In particular, Africa produced 153 thousand tons of primary aluminium in September, in Northern America production made - 432 thousand tons, in Latin America - 205 thousand tons, in Asia - 289 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 343 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 346 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 192 thousand tons.

In January-September 2006, 1 million 392 thousand tons of primary aluminium were produced in Africa, in Northern America - 3 million 984 thousand tons, in Latin America - 1 million 863 thousand tons, in Asia - 2 million 582 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 3 million 118 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 3 million 162 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 1 million 693 thousand tons.

Total world production has reached 17 million 794 thousand tons of primary aluminium in January-September 2006, and daily output was 65,2 thousand tons.

For comparison: the world output in January-September 2005 was 17 million 444 thousand tons of primary aluminium, and daily output was 63,9 thousand tons.
