Watching movies and TV shows is the most popular activity among fellow citizens in their free time. 

According to a sociological survey, 79% of respondents watch movies and TV shows at least once a week.

According to the Levada Center, two thirds of fellow citizens meet with friends at least once a week. In third place in the list of popular forms of leisure are visiting or receiving guests (42% and 43% of respondents, respectively).

Sociologists note that more than half of Russians do not read fiction: 27% of respondents read it several times a year, 28% do not read it at all.
