OREANDA-NEWS  Famous Russian artist Nikas Safronov met with the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

According to the source, the meeting took place in the Vatican, in the library of the Apostolic Palace. Safronov presented him with a painting and also received a blessing to create a personal collection for the Vatican.

The canvas donated by the artist depicts the first place of Francis' ministry in Buenos Aires. In 2022, the painting was on the International Space Station. Nikas' painting was delivered to the ISS by the Hero of Russia, cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev.

Earlier it became known that Nikas Safronov has been taking sleeping pills for ten years and suffers from insomnia due to his betrayal.
