The Mandalorian Actress was Fired After Comparing the US to Nazi Germany
OREANDA-NEWS. UTA decided to fire Mandalorian actress Gina Carano after she compared the US political atmosphere to the persecution of Jews in Germany after the Nazis came to power in the 1930s. Also, Lucasfilm studio decided to stop cooperation with the artist. Deadline reports about it.
Gina Carano published a discussable post on social networks in which she wrote that Jews in Germany were oppressed by their neighbors, and not by "Nazi soldiers." In the actress's post, users can read the following words: “Since history is ruled, many people today do not understand that before the Nazi soldiers began arresting Jews by the thousands, the government first made its own citizens hate them for being Jews. How is this different from hating someone because of their political views? "
Lucasfilm announced that it has stopped cooperating with Carano and is not considering the possibility of working with this actress in the future. Company representatives noted that Carano's posts on social networks, in which she “denigrates people based on their cultural characteristics or religious beliefs,” are "really unacceptable and disgusting".
Gina Carano is a famous American MMA fighter, also known for her role as former Rebel Alliance stormtrooper Cara Dune in The Mandalorian TV series. The show is set in the universe of the Star Wars franchise.
