OREANDA-NEWS Various city festivals attract tourist flow to Moscow, travel agencies are planning tours on schedules of city festivals, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on Wednesday.

“The flow of tourists is directly connected with our festival activity. The more interesting and larger the festival, the more tourists come from Russia and from abroad, ”said Sobyanin on the Moscow 24 TV channel.

He noted that travel agencies are planning tours on schedules of Moscow festivals, and the World Cup in 2018 gave a positive impetus to the development of the tourism industry.

“All festivals have a pronounced international character, dozens of different countries participate in them: the New Year festival“ Journey to Christmas ”- dozens of countries, almost all European major cities. Or our spring festivals associated with a cappella and choral singing. Or the festival of historical reconstructions - participants from the UK, America, France, Italy, Asia. These are international events, ”added Sobyanin.

Thus, in the capital from August 23 to September 8, the largest landscape festival “Flower Jam” will take place.
