OREANDA-NEWS. The creators of the British TV series «Peaky Blinders» have announced the start of filming for the sixth and final season. This is written by The Hollywood Reporter with reference to the screenwriter and author Steven Knight. He believes that the final season will be very popular among fans.

Knight hinted that while the «Peaky Blinders» ends, the story will continue in a different form. By «another form», the producers of the series mean a spin-off, The Hollywood Reporter notes.

In 2018, Peaky Blinders was named Best British TV Series by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The main role in the TV show was played by actor Cillian Murphy. The series was released in 2013. It tells the story of the wars between the criminal clans of Birmingham in the 1920s.

Knight did not reveal any secrets about the plot of the new series, but noted that the script for the sixth season is already fully ready. He said, that all delays with filming are related exclusively to the sudden COVID-19 pandemic.
