The British Rating of the Most Popular Songs of the Decade Is Compiled
OREANDA-NEWS. BBC reports that the song Happy by Pharrell Williams, written as the soundtrack for the cartoon Despicable Me 2, has become the most popular in ten years. The rating was calculated taking into account how often this or that track sounded on British radio and TV.
Second place in the top of most-played tracks of the decade is occupied by the soul hit Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Thanks to it, the singer had received three Grammy Awards.
Moves Like Jagger performed by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera is at the third line of the rating. This track topped the US charts.
The top ten also includes Get Lucky by Daft Punk, Nile Rogers and Pharrell Williams, Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas, Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, Counting Stars by One Republic, Forget You by Cee Lo Green, Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon.
