The Actors of the Moscow Theater Asked the Investigative Committee "Not to Interfere"
OREANDA-NEWS 78 actors of the "Lenkom" Theater signed an open letter to the Investigative Committee of Russia addressed to its chairman Alexander Bastrykin with a request "not to interfere with the team's work" with regular inspections of the theater.
According to "KP", this was a consequence of the struggle for the "creative heritage" between the daughter of the former head of Mark Zakharov, Alexandra, and the new artistic director, Mark Varshaver.
Before the New Year, Alexandra Zakharova gave an interview to Andrey Karaulov, in which she spoke about the methods of managing the theater and possible offshore companies. After that, the journalist sent a letter to the TFR, where he asked for an audit.
Zakharova explained why the actors did not rebel against Varshaver. After the holidays, the inspection bodies descended on "Lenkom", but they did not find any violations. But the actors decided that everything that was happening was negatively affecting the troupe.
"What Sasha (Zakharova — ed.) is doing is beyond good and evil. If earlier actors were afraid of her, now... they condemn her. You can't even imagine the atmosphere in the theater because of these checks," said People's Artist of the Russian Federation Tatyana Kravchenko.
In total, 78 people took part in the open letter — more than 70% of all theater actors.
