OREANDA-NEWS More than 80% of Russians believe that on vacation it is necessary to try various culinary delights in order to immerse yourself in a foreign culture, RIA Novosti reports.

So, 42% of respondents pay attention to national cuisine when choosing a route, 16% consider the peculiarities of local cuisine to be one of the main factors for making a decision.

Among foreign tourists, Brazilians, Mexicans and Colombians prefer to try local cuisine on a trip.

Half of the Russians surveyed emphasize that they react less negatively to food prices on a trip than at home. A quarter of Russian tourists have a positive attitude to spending per person per day from 500 to 1000 rubles, another 32% are willing to pay from one thousand to 2000 rubles for food, 18% consider it normal to spend from 2000 to 4000 rubles for food per day. It is noted that spending more than 4000 per day on food does not scare every 20 Russian tourists.
