OREANDA-NEWS  Half of the YouTube video hosting traffic has moved to Russian platforms. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev, quoted by RIA Novosti.

He stressed that the agency does not observe a deterioration in the user experience due to the slowdown of YouTube. "We see that the traffic that YouTube loses, half of this traffic lands on Russian sites," Shadaev said.

According to him, it is necessary to develop domestic large platforms as an alternative to YouTube. According to the minister, at the moment there is already a lot of competition among Russian video hosting companies.

Earlier, the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, said that by his actions YouTube helps Russian analogues develop. According to him, they are setting up work, improving platforms, making them more convenient.
