Russia, China and Mongolia will develop the Great Tea Way tour route

OREANDA-NEWS Russia, China and Mongolia have signed an agreement on the development of the Great Tea Way tourist route, the trade mission of Russia in China reported on Tuesday.
"Russia, China and Mongolia have signed an agreement on the development of the Great Tea Way tourist route, the geography of which repeats the trade route created in the XVIII century for the export of tea from China through Mongolia, Siberia, the Urals and the Volga region to Moscow and St. Petersburg. 18 Russian regions from the Trans-Baikal Territory to St. Petersburg are already ready to join the new tourism project," the Russian trade mission said in a statement made available to RIA Novosti.
It is noted that the document on the development of the new route was signed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Du Jiang and Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia Myagmarzhar Ganbaatar at a trilateral meeting of heads of tourist administrations, which took place on October 10 in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
The Great Tea Way will unite the Russian regions of the Far East, Siberia, the Urals, the Volga region, as well as Moscow and St. Petersburg.
