OREANDA-NEWS During visit to Kaliningrad, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the cultural, educational and museum complexes to be built in Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, Kemerovo and Sevastopol.

The head of state noted that cultural centers should combine the interests of all generations. "Such large centers of public life and education should be accessible to people of all ages: both older and younger generations, meet their interests and needs. It is very important in this regard, of course, to keep in mind young people, young people," Putin said. He also noted that concert halls, museums and exhibition spaces, as well as training centers of leading Russian educational institutions must function on the basis of cultural complexes. The President got acquainted with the models of future regional cultural centers: "a Beautiful place," commented on the project of the center in Vladivostok.

It is planned that the construction of the cultural and educational center in Kaliningrad will begin in the first quarter of 2019. As part of the project, a branch of the Bolshoi theatre, a choreographic school and a Conservatory will be opened in Kaliningrad. The Museum complex will include the Tretyakov gallery, the Hermitage and the Russian Museum.

Putin announced the need to create cultural and educational centers in the regions in his address to the Federal Assembly in 2018, the goals and development plans of the program were set out in the presidential decree "on national goals and strategic objectives for the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024".

This is due to the fact that the regions do not have enough sites for cultural events, Museum and exhibition complexes, and there are not always high-level educational institutions that train personnel in various fields of culture and art.

As the Minister of Сulture Vladimir Medinsky said earlier, the opening of cultural centers is planned for 2022. Also, according to him, a competition was announced to create the best concept of the future University, those professionals who will offer the most suitable concept will be invited to head the institution.  It is expected that branches of one educational institution will be opened in the regions. To teach in the universities are planning in the field of: music, theatre, choreography, etc.
