OREANDA-NEWS. American streaming service Netflix ranked the most watched original movies based on the number of views in the first four weeks after release.

The action film Extraction with Chris Hemsworth (99 million views) gained the first place, the second place is occupied by Bird Box with Sandra Bullock (89 million), the third by Spenser Confidential with Mark Wahlberg (85 million). The top ten also includes 6 Underground (83 million), Murder Mystery (73 million), The Irishman (64 million), Triple Frontier (63 million), The Wrong Missy (59 million), The Platform (56 million) and The Perfect Date (48 million views).

All of these movies have been released in the past 3 years, and the major part of them in the past 12 months. As Netflix has added 43.6 million subscribers since the beginning of 2019, each new release has the potential to gain more viewers than its predecessors.
