Jean Paul Gaultier dress sold at auction for a record 43 million rubles

We are talking about a maxi-length denim dress with blue and white feathers on the hem from the 1999 collection. It is known that it belonged to the Lebanese businesswoman Muna Ayoub. The dress went to auction for a record 377 thousand euros (43 million rubles). The name of the buyer is not disclosed.
The joint auction of Maurice Auction and Kerry Taylor Auctions took place in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. Another 40 lots from Ayub's wardrobe were presented at the auction — all the items were eventually sold. In two days, the event gathered more than 600 visitors and more than 500 bidders. The total cost of the sale is estimated at 930 thousand euros (105 million rubles).
In September, it was reported that the necklace from the coronation of Elizabeth II would be sold at auction for 254 million rubles.
