OREANDA-NEWS Famous photographer Rene Rober froze to death on one of the central streets of Paris. This is reported by RTL radio station with reference to a friend of the deceased, journalist and musician Michel Momponte.

According to him, 84-year-old Rober died of hypothermia after lying in the snow for six hours. At about 21:30, he left the house, felt unwell and fell. Until five in the morning, no one paid attention to the man until a homeless man passing by called for help.

"If you see someone lying unconscious, then try to stop and see if he is breathing, because these few seconds can save a life," Momponte said. He added that Rober became ill in one of the busiest areas of Paris, but no one helped him.

Rene Rober was born in Fribourg and became interested in photography at the age of 12. After moving to Paris, he met a woman who was fond of flamenco, and began filming everything related to this type of dance. Subsequently, Rober released two photobooks "Rage and Grace" and "Flamenco Manner".

On January 24, it became known that the French fashion designer and founder of the Mugler fashion house Thierry Mugler died at the age of 73. Death occurred from natural causes. In 1973, Thierry created his first collection of women's clothing, which was based on a combination of classics and modernity. The Frenchman gained worldwide fame in the 1980s.
