OREANDA-NEWS Moscow for the first time organizes the Planet of the Ballet festival, which will be held from August 19 to September 8. The venue was chosen for the Palace of Youth.

The history of the festival began in 2015 in St. Petersburg. Spectators were invited to the “Planet of Ballet”, since in the off-season in the city theaters there was a shortage of performances.

This year the event takes place in both cities in parallel. Recently in St. Petersburg began the fifth show, which will last almost until the end of September.

"We cooperate with travel companies, concierge services and hotels that need classical ballets in the summer. Therefore, there was a need to conduct in Moscow," TASS quoted Alla Fomina, project manager.

The festival will show about 50 performances. Residents and guests of the capital will be able to see such productions as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake.
