OREANDA-NEWS The world-famous Canadian director Robert Lepage told RIA Novosti that he had begun work on the play Master and Margarita based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov at the Theater of Nations in Moscow with the participation of his artistic director People's Artist of Russia Yevgeny Mironov.

The director said that the principle of work will be the same as during the production of "Hamlet & Collage" at the Theater of Nations with Mironov in the lead role. "Like then, we will work in Moscow for some time, and then the artists will come to Quebec," Lepage said.

He said that 13 actors have already been selected, including Mironov, but they still do not know what they will be doing. All artists will play not one, but several roles, as it was in Hamlet.

"For artists, this work will certainly be inspiring, because it gives them the opportunity to perform in different ways. As for me, what is there to say - we all know that I really love working in Russia and I love Russian artists," said Lepage.
