OREANDA-NEWS. On August 31 and September 1, by the centenary of the district’s formation, the first international festival of street theaters “Petrushki Mira” will be held in the Konniy Dvor museum complex in the Sergiev Posad City District, the municipality’s press service reports.

 Guests of the holiday will be able to see the performances of theaters from Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg.  Foreign guests from Italy, France, Czech Republic, Holland will also take part in the festival.

 Visitors to the festival will also be able to listen to lectures by folklorists, take part in festivities and competitions.

 “The nature of the street theater - the parsley theater - is ancient and extremely attractive for a family audience. We really want the city of Moscow region with unique potential - Sergiev Posad - to launch a new, original festival to which guests from different countries would come”  - said the Minister of Culture of the Moscow Region Narmin Shiralieva.
