Goryachkina became the winner of the World Chess Cup

OREANDA-NEWS Russian Alexandra Goryachkina beat Nurgul Salimova from Bulgaria in a tiebreak and became the winner of the World Chess Cup in Baku.
In the final, the rivals finished both games of classical chess in a draw on Saturday and Sunday. In the tie-break with shortened time control, which took place on Monday, the 24-year-old Russian turned out to be stronger. The total score of the confrontation is 2.5:1.5 in favor of Goryachkina.
The bronze medal of the tournament a day earlier was won by Ukrainian Anna Muzychuk, who beat Chinese Tan Zhongyi in two games with a total score of 1.5:0.5.
