Authorities Canceled QR Codes in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS In Moscow, QR codes and restrictions on coronavirus in the fields of sports and culture will be canceled from March 3, Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin said.
"The epidemiological situation in Moscow is gradually returning to normal. The number of new omicron cases and hospitalizations continues to decline. This allows us to cancel a significant part of the existing restrictions," he said.
The capital has also lifted all restrictions on visiting restaurants and cafes, theaters, museums, as well as concert, entertainment, cultural, entertainment, educational and sports events.
In addition, the home regime for Muscovites over 60 years of age and citizens with chronic diseases becomes recommendatory instead of mandatory. "In the coming days, the work of the circles and sections of the Moscow Longevity program will be fully resumed," Sobyanin added.
On February 22, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, allowed the easing of restrictions on COVID-19, pointing out the features of the omicron strain.
On March 1, Rospotrebnadzor reported that in Russia the share of the omicron strain among the detected cases of COVID-19 reached 95.1%.
Over the previous day, according to the operstab, 3024 people fell ill in Moscow, 386 patients were hospitalized, 81 previously ill died.
