OREANDA-NEWS  The National Theatre of Latvia has terminated the contract for the performance in Russian and imposed a ban on future productions. This is what the Passion website writes about.

Dmitry Krymov's play "Notes of a Madman", in which Chulpan Khamatova plays, was supposed to take place in the fall. "Due to the fact that the Latvian National Theatre has decided not to show Russian-language performances on the stage of the theater, we decided to move the premiere of Dmitry Krymov's play to another venue," the theater said in a statement.

It is noted that the moratorium on tours in Russian will remain in effect until the end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Earlier, the leader of the Mirage group, Alexey Gorbashov, spoke about the "abolition" of Russian culture in Europe. According to the musician, the owners of Russian clubs and shops in Germany receive threats and demands to change the names of establishments.
