OREANDA-NEWS Fireproof Studios has confirmed a new installment of tactile puzzler series The Room, entitled The Room: Old Sins.

“The sudden disappearance of an ambitious engineer and his high-society wife provokes the hunt for a precious artefact," states the description. "The trail leads to the attic of their deserted home, and the discovery of an old, peculiar dollhouse.

"Experience The Room: Old Sins and explore unsettling locations, follow obscure clues and manipulate bizarre artefacts on a journey into the world behind the veil.”

The new 3D puzzle adventure has been slated for a late 2017 release, but if you're keen to lay hands on it now, a playable demo will be available later this month at London's EGX Rezzed.

The original The Room game is a physical puzzler "wrapped in a mystery game, inside a beautifully tactile 3D world" and was so successful, it was crowned Apple's 2012 iOS Game of the Year.

The last game in the series, The Room 3 garnered a 9/10 review from us. We called it Fireproof's "most ambitious, rewarding puzzle game yet."
