OREANDA-NEWS The YouTube video service has blocked channels associated with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

The administration of the YouTube video hosting blocked the official channels of the Ministry of Information and the People's Militia Department of the DPR, the "Donetsk News Agency" reported, citing Information Minister Igor Antipov. It also became known that YouTube deleted the channel of the People's Militia of the LPR, the "Lugansk Information Center" and the state television and radio company of the Luhansk Republic. In all cases, the channels were blocked "for violating community rules."

Sergey Meshkovoy, editor-in-chief of the "Luhansk Information Center", noted that "this was done extremely unceremoniously, without warnings and notifications". The agency understands the current situation by sending a letter to the technical support of the video hosting. The LNR stated that the removal of the republic's media channels by the video hosting should be considered as "one of the ways of waging an information war of the collective West against Russia".

It also became known that two oppositional Ukrainian TV channels "First Independent" and "UkrLive" were removed from the video hosting. They appeared after the introduction of sanctions in Kiev against "112", "NewsOne" and "ZIK TV" channels.

Earlier, "Secret" said that YouTube blocked the channels of "Russian Radio" and the group "Earthlings".
