Videos of Russian Journalist Yuri Dud Were Recognized as Extremist in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS The Minsk court recognized the videos from the YouTube channel "VDUD" as extremist. We are talking about the commercials "Komissarenko — a new life after the protests in Belarus", "How to live if you are deprived of your homeland" and "NEXTA - the main media of the Belarusian protest". The decision was made on the basis of materials from the main Directorate for combating organized crime and corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, as the agency reported in its Telegram channel.
The first of Dud's banned videos is an interview with comedian Slava Komissarenko, who ridiculed Belarusian politicians. The second is a film about political emigrants from Belarus, and the third is an interview with the creators of the Belarusian NEXTA project, which told in detail about the protests of 2020. In total, three videos have gained more than 31.8 million views.
The representative of the main directorate stressed that the possession of extremist videos is punishable by law, as well as subscribing to channels and chats recognized as extremist.
Earlier, The Secret wrote that in Russia, Yuri Dud was offered to be recognized as a foreign agent. The "Safe Internet League" asked the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Justice of Russia to check information about foreign funding of the blogger.
