U.S. Congress Intends to Combat Social Media Addiction

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley introduced a bill designed to protect Americans from social media exposure. It involves the prohibition of certain functions that can be addictive. The author of the initiative referred to them the automatic playback of videos on YouTube and long news feeds on social networks Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.
Hawley believes that companies need to ban the use of physical and psychological vulnerabilities of people. This interferes with their free choice, writes FAN. In addition, the project proposes to limit the limit of content consumption per day to half an hour.
