The leadership of the TikTok social network has agreed to cooperate with the State Duma commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation and to remove violations in a timely manner, said the chairman of the commission Vasily Piskarev.

«The management of TikTok offers us to interact with them on an ongoing basis»,Piskarev told reporters on Friday, April 9. According to him, such interaction implies, that if violations occur, TikTok is ready to quickly contact the representatives of the commission and promptly eliminate them.

«We are open to any sites with the condition, that these sites will not violate our legislation», the deputy said. Piskarev also said, that the commission offered to help TikTok employees with an explanation of Russian legislation.

«In January-February, more than a thousand illegal content was posted on the TikTok digital platform», the deputy added, listing the involvement of teenagers in illegal protest actions, calls for teenagers to disobey law enforcement officers, as well as calls for suicide.

Pisarev on Friday took part in a video conference of members of the commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of Russia with representatives of the TikTok management, headed by Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs Helen Lersh.
