OREANDA-NEWS Chris Klippel, a representative of the French portal Rockstar Mag, who follows the GTA and RDR series, shared information about the Grand Theft Auto VI game engine. The author of the publication called it amazing and ahead of its time.

Klippel claims that the engine was named RAGE 9. He himself has not seen the game and refers to those who are «familiar with the development». Klippel's statement leaves a lot of room for gossip, because he absolves himself of responsibility by referring to unnamed people, as well as describing the engine only in general terms.

«Obviously, the new version of the Rockstar Games graphics engine (RAGE9), which is used in GTA 6, is likely to be just incredible. I have received some very positive feedback, so we should not be disappointed in this regard. We are talking about an engine that was ahead of its time», wrote Klippel.

In early February, Rockstar officially confirmed the sequel of Grand Theft Auto, saying that the game is in active development. No details were disclosed at the same time, but the studio noted that with each new project it sets a goal to surpass everything that it has released before.

According to insiders, GTA 6 will offer a map of «moderate» size, which will be expanded and supplemented after the release, and the venue will be a modern Vice City. There were also rumors about several playable characters. Earlier, Klippel also stated that the real announcement of the game could take place this fall, but the release, as he thinks, will not happen before the end of 2024.
