OREANDA-NEWS  Marina Krasnova, General Director of the VKontakte social network, and Alexander Tobol, Vice President for Technology and Development of VK Holding, technical director of VKontakte, decided to leave the company, VK said in a statement.

Since July 3, the social network will be managed by a collegial body - a management team, which will include representatives of VK top management and representatives of VKontakte management. The management team will be responsible for operational processes, strategic decision-making and the development of new areas of the social network.

It is noted that Krasnova and Tobol decided to "do their own project."

"The updated format of social network management reflects how most of VKontakte's key decisions are made. This approach has proven its effectiveness and will allow the social network to continue to grow its audience, create and improve services for users," said VK CEO Vladimir Kiriyenko through the press service.
