Over 20,000 volunteers expressed their readiness to take part in the Ukrainian special operation of the Russian Armed Forces on the side of Donbass, DPR head Denis Pushilin said on Soloviev Live. He noted that the list of countries from which they are ready to come to help is quite extensive, while some of those who wish are from the United States.

Now we are coping on the spot on our own with fire support from Russia. There are now more than 20 thousand volunteers - these are those who got into our central office directly in order to be able to apply, when needed, for their support, - Pushilin explained.

According to him, the operation in Donbass will be completed "in the very foreseeable future", then recovery will begin. The head of the republic added that the territory of the DPR is quite large by the standards of European states, moreover, there is access to the sea.

Earlier, Denis Pushilin also refused the help of volunteers to liberate the republic. He stated that the military, with the support of the RF Armed Forces, can independently cope with the assigned tasks.
