Poles Consider the Reason for the Expulsion of the Russian Consul from Poznan to Be Strange and Unconvincing
OREANDA-NEWS. Readers of the Polish portal Interia are actively discussing the reasons for the expulsion of the Russian diplomat from Poznan, allegedly for violating COVID-19 restrictions.
Earlier, the consul of Russia in Poznan was expelled from Poland. Initially it was reported that this was in response to the expulsion of the Polish diplomat. However, the publication cites a statement by the press secretary of the Minister-Coordinator of the Polish special services Stanislav Zharin, which claims that the Russian created an epidemiological threat by visiting public places after receiving a positive test for COVID-19.
In response to this, one of the readers of the portal noted that if it were not a Russian, but an American consul, he probably would have stayed.
Another user advised Poland to reconsider its current political course. He wrote, arguing his thought: "Soon Poland will become a country surrounded by enemies, and the Poles themselves are to blame for this. It's time to change your mind, before it's too late."
Another reader remarked sarcastically: "Earlier it was asserted that the security of Poland is threatened by one reconnaissance company deployed to the Kaliningrad region, but now, it turns out, one Russian consul is enough."
