OREANDA-NEWS Kaspersky Lab's business from all CIS countries is growing fastest in Belarus and Uzbekistan, Anna Kulashova, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab in Russia and CIS countries, said in an interview with RIA Novosti on the sidelines of SPIEF.
"If we talk about the CIS, we are growing fastest in Belarus and Uzbekistan," she answered the relevant question. According to her, in general, there is a "steady growth" of the company's business in the CIS countries, but the situation is different everywhere.
"Belarus is growing faster, and the overall situation is closer to what is happening in Russia: Western vendors have also left there, so the demand for solutions that we can provide them has grown significantly. As for Central Asia, there is very high competition there, because big players have not left there, but, nevertheless, we see demand for our products," Kulashova said.
As for the attacks on these countries, they are related to the economic characteristics of the regions, she continued. "For example, Kazakhstan is a fairly industrial region, and over the past few years we have seen an increase in the attention of intruders to industrial and production facilities," the top manager noted.
In general, according to her, the growth of attacks is observed in all countries of the world, including in Russia and the CIS countries, where industry is developed. "First of all, this is due to the fact that modern digitalization and automation systems are beginning to connect the contours of the corporate network with the contours of the industrial network, and they begin to exchange data," Kulashova explained.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) takes place on June 14-17. RIA Novosti is an information partner and photo-hosting agency of the forum.
