OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian news agency UNIAN recognized as a fake the post of adviser to the head of the presidential office Oleksiy Arestovich about the allegedly tortured girl from Gostomel, RIA Novosti reports.
Arestovich previously posted on social networks a photo of the body of a woman with a German swastika carved on her chest. According to him, she was subjected to severe torture in the village of Gostomel, Kiev region, which was recently abandoned by the Russian troops. UNIAN stated that this information is a fake.
Also, the Ukrainian edition indicated that this picture, as well as the video, appeared in the Russian segment of YouTube and VKontakte on March 28. It was reported that the girl became a victim of Ukrainian nationalists in Mariupol.
On March 27, American journalist Patrick Lancaster posted the original video on his YouTube channel. The video published by him is called “A murdered woman with signs of torture was found at a “Ukrainian military base” in the basement of a Mariupol school.”
Subsequently, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed to investigate the murder of a woman in the city of Mariupol.
According to the Investigative Committee, militants of the Azov nationalist battalion (an organization banned in Russia) mocked the girl. Her body was found in the basement of one of the city's schools, where the militant base was located, with signs of torture and a swastika carved on her stomach, the department said.
The UK stressed that the investigation will establish the circumstances of what happened and those involved in the commission of this crime.
