OREANDA-NEWS The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has recognized the activities of the organization BDR Novaja Gazeta-Europe undesirable. This is reported on the agency's website.

"Former members of the editorial board of the newspaper Novaya Gazeta participate in its activities. Earlier, this publication, due to violations of the law, by the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the certificates of registration of printed and electronic media, respectively, were canceled," the agency's website reports.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the organization creates and distributes information materials that harm the interests of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, the newspaper's publications contain false information about mass violations of the rights and freedoms of Russian residents, as well as about conducting an aggressive policy towards Ukraine. In addition, the organization distributes materials of extremist organizations, such as "FBK", "Navalny's headquarters" (recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation).

Earlier, Roskomnadzor restricted access to the Novaya Gazeta website and the Free Space editorial office.
