OREANDA-NEWS. The Moscow Ring Railway website was used by hackers to spread a banking virus that infected thousands of computers, including Russia, Kaspersky Lab found out.  Hacking site recorded and Google.

 As it is specified, the attack found by the experts of the company took place in several stages.  So, first, the attackers infected the victims' devices with the Panda banking Trojan by sending phishing emails containing a malicious document with a macro or exploit.  If the infection was successful, the device, along with the malware, became part of the botnet under the control of the cybercriminals command center.  It is noted that the Panda Banking Trojan module downloaded from the website mkzd.ru then downloads the next malicious component, which is part of a well-known platform used in attacks against financial institutions.

 The problem was resolved in a short time.  The attack occurred in the first weekend of July.
