OREANDA-NEWS. A German deputy from the Alternative for Germany party, Maximilian Krach, told RIA Novosti that the allegations of an “invasion” of Russian forces into Ukraine seemed false, while the real threat of war lies in a possible attack by Kiev on the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics (DNR and LNR).
“Russia is now withdrawing troops, as announced… It is now clear that the numerous claims that Russia is about to attack, even mentioning Tuesday or Wednesday, February 16, as D-Day, were completely fake news distributed by CNN and US media and aired without question or verification in European media,” Krach said.
He stressed that there are two dangerous scenarios that could lead to war with Russia - Ukraine's entry into NATO and the resumption of the war in the Donbass.
Foreign media have recently published publications with the dates of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly denied all accusations.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the return of tanks from exercises in western Russia.
