The corresponding statement of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Sergey Razov was sent to the chief editor of the publication and published on Friday in the electronic version of the newspaper.

On Saturday, during a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, it was agreed that Russia would provide the necessary assistance to the Italian side in the fight against coronavirus.

Russian military experts arrived on Wednesday in the city of Bergamo, one of the most affected by the epidemic, where they will assist in the fight against coronavirus. The number of people infected in Italy since the beginning of the epidemic has reached 80 thousand people, including 8 thousand who died and 10 thousand were cured.
