OREANDA-NEWS. The new phase of the Russian special operation in Ukraine may be more successful than the previous one, writes Bloomberg. According to the agency, the offensive in the east of the country, combined with massive artillery strikes, has already led to the transfer of the city of Kremennaya under the control of Russian forces.
“Ukrainian troops are at risk of being surrounded in the course of a new Russian offensive,” the text says. From the point of view of observers, we are talking about the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the north of Donbass, where about 40% of the entire Ukrainian grouping in the region is located.
In addition, Russia continues to actively liquidate the military infrastructure of Ukraine, which creates problems for the supply of Western weapons to the Ukrainian army in the Donbass, which arrive by rail from Poland - the total route from west to east is over 1,000 km.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced the start of a new stage of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, noting that it is generally aimed at the liberation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
