Biometric ATMs May Appear in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS.Large Russian banks have purchased ATMs that are able to identify a person by face, and plan to install them by the end of this year.
More than 10 thousand biometric ATMs must be installed in Russia. In them it will be possible to perform operations without plastic cards. This was reported by the newspaper "Izvestia" with reference to the general director of the manufacturer of such vehicles VisionLabs Alexander Hanin.
As noted in banking institutions, plastic cards will be a thing of the past. It is noted that Russian citizens will have to submit biometric data, after which computer copies of their faces will be tied to bank accounts.
