OREANDA-NEWS. The Moscow City Transport Department, the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and TomTom company (the Netherlands) have signed a cooperation agreement to improve the road traffic situation in Moscow. The agreement has been signed at the Moscow Urban Forum 2016 by Maxim Liskutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow and Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, Andrei Sharonov, Dean of the SKOLKOVO Business School, and Ralf-Peter Sch?fer, Vice President of Traffic & Travel Information Product Unit at TomTom.

A similar agreement was concluded between the Moscow Transport Department, the Higher School of Economics and INRIX (USA).
“We want people in Moscow to have the most current information on city traffic. The Moscow Government is open to cooperation with all organisations that are willing to share such information with citizens in a transparent way. We are happy to see that our joint working group includes not only reputable international companies but also leading Russian educational platforms. This approach will both allow Moscow citizens to receive objective data on our city’s transportation system and open new opportunities for developing the most advanced solutions meant to improve the traffic situation in Moscow,” said Maxim Liskutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow and Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
