OREANDA-NEWS. ACCESS CO., LTD today announced that it will demonstrate its HTML5 engines and media sharing solutions at the 20th Congress Advances in Automotive Electronics (14-15 June 2016 in Ludwigsburg, Germany).

Dr. Neale Foster, COO and VP Global Sales at ACCESS Europe, said: “A McKinsey report reveals a clear shift in consumer loyalty as in-car technology plays a more prominent role in the decision making process. 37% of recent car buyers admit that they would switch manufacturers for better connectivity features, and manufacturers are responding to this new consumer demand by deploying infotainment services that offer road traffic updates, maps, diagnosis and entertainment. At Advances in Automotive Electronics, we will demonstrate how manufacturers and Tier1s can deliver these features and more both on embedded in-vehicle infotainment system and via the driver’s Android or iOS device.”

ACCESS will present demonstrations showing how its solutions enable OEMs and Tier1s to offer standards-based user interfaces leveraging HTML5 and deliver a seamless media experience across all devices within the vehicle. The on-stand demos will leverage the Renesas R-Car H2 system-on-chip and mobile devices running iOs and Android to showcase ACCESS’ product portfolio for automotive, including:

  • NetFront™ Browser BE, a Chromium-based HTML5 platform enabling the standards based presentation of IVI user interface components and apps, and
  • ACCESS Twine™, a media sharing platform which can be integrated within the OEM IVI system and be deployed as part of an Android or iOS-based Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) strategy, enabling consumers to access their media wirelessly within the vehicle.
