Archie and Supergirl TV series fly over to The CW
The "Supergirl" move comes after speculation that the ratings for season 1 hadn't been high enough to justify CBS making a second season, given the high production expenses associated with the show. According to Deadline, the CW has confirmed that it will produce a new season, but will be moving production from Los Angeles to Vancouver in order to cut costs.
But the big news is CW picking up "Riverdale". The live action adventures of Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge and the gang had been originally developed by Fox but never made it through to pilot.
Both shows will be helmed by Greg Berlanti who already works across "The Flash", "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow". Given that we've already had a Flash/Supergirl crossover, should we expect to see Oliver Queen saving Archie Andrews in the future? Based on the comic book version of Archie being a big fan of an unusual crossover, why not?
