Ranking among the leading providers of regulatory technology (RegTech), management and technology consultancy BearingPoint has won IT Europa’s “Enterprise Solution of the Year” at the 2016 European IT & Software Excellence Awards. This award category recognizes the accomplishments of companies that have implemented their IT solutions in large organizations and thereby significantly contributed to positive transformations of operations, processes or go-to market strategy. BearingPoint’s ABACUS/DaVinci facilitates banks’ ability to be in compliance with fulfilling the requirements of obligatory complex reports. The successful application of ABACUS/DaVinci enabled Santander to simultaneously transition away from their previous software package while remaining in compliance with their reporting obligations. The judges commented that BearingPoint’s ABACUS/DaVinci “deserves this award for achieving an impressive implementation within a short time-frame, which demonstrated apparent good results across the client’s business.” The winners were chosen from 86 finalists representing 21 countries.

With so many high-scoring entries, choosing outright winners in each category was particularly hard this year. It is also fascinating to see how the entries reflect the changes in the industry … this year we have had many entries showing solutions based on data and its management and analysis. This shows how responsive the industry is, particularly among the software developers and ISVs (Independent software vendors) who are so determined to deliver results for their customers.
