OREANDA-NEWS. The American company Apple completely eliminated the claims of the State Duma deputies on indicating the territorial affiliation of Crimea in its services, including in the Weather app. This was announced on Wednesday by the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev after a meeting with Apple representative in Russia Daria Ermolina.

"They completely brought their services in accordance with Russian law. The error in displaying Crimean cities in the Weather application has been fixed", the parliamentarian confirmed. He showed photographs that indicate that in this Apple service Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta and other cities are now listed as the territory of the Russian Federation. “Earlier there were periods when it was written here that it was Ukraine”, the politician recalled. “Accordingly, the reaction followed, the problems were resolved”.

Earlier, the State Duma reported that Apple eliminated the claims of deputies to its cards in connection with an incorrect indication of the territorial affiliation of Crimea, but parliamentarians still have questions about the Weather service. In particular, the Crimean cities in this application are "not completely" displayed as the territory of the Russian Federation.
