IBA Group wins CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Award
OREANDA-NEWS. On February 2, CEE Business Media, a publisher of the Central and Eastern Europe Shared Services and Outsourcing Directory, announced the winners of the fifth CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards. IBA Group and its project Promotion of IT in Belarus among People with Disabilities was selected the winner and the best of the seven finalists in the category Top CSR initiative of the Year.
Implemented by IBA Institute, a member of IBA Group, the project Promotion of IT in Belarus among People with Disabilities was the first IT education project for disabled people in Belarus. A group of 120 disabled was trained in system administration, including 89 remotely. Following the course, IBA Group organized a national contest in system administration for people with disabilities with 45 course graduates joining the competition and ten qualifying for the final. After the project was completed, former students volunteered transfer of their competencies to peers and six graduates, including the contest winner, were offered IT jobs.
More than 300 guests from 27 countries, representing 129 companies gathered at the CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards Gala held in Warsaw, Poland. The organizations selected by an independent jury were recognized for their contribution to the development of the business services sector in Central and Eastern Europe.
Prior to the CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards Gala, a CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Forum was held. Its main topics were Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and the decisive factors in choosing a partner in CEE.
According to the organizers, the Awards Gala is a key platform for connecting global investors and large-scale companies with CEE regional leaders from the share services & outsourcing sector. They also announced the first annual USA – Europe Shared Services Summit scheduled for June 28 in New York. The summit will target the US mid-market firms that are interested to set up SSC/business services operation in CEE. The organizers partnered with 43 US business editions to promote the summit.
Vladimir Dyubkov, Chancellor of IBA Institute, said that thanks to the project he met very brave and firm people who taught him to overcome problems in his life.
