OREANDA-NEWS  Montenegro has restricted access to 20 Russian media outlets. The blocking of a number of media outlets in the country was reported by the Electronic Media Agency with reference to the Official Gazette of Montenegro.

It was noted that Channel One, Rossiya 1, REN TV, Rossiya 24, Sputnik, RT TV channel and its branches in other countries and other media were subject to restrictive measures.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in turn, called the incident an act of censorship and nationalism. She also announced a response to the lockdown.

Earlier, Montenegro called for the shutdown of RT and Sputnik broadcasting. The country planned to revoke the permission of media companies to distribute content on all media platforms.
