OREANDA-NEWS Yuri Antipov, founder of the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Combine (CEMС) industrial group, and his wife Lyudmila filed an appeal against the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region on the transfer of three plants of the group to the state.
The file of arbitration cases says that the appeal was filed by the Antipovs on March 5. Details are not provided.
Also on March 5, the court received petitions from JSC Serovsky Ferroalloy Plant and JSC Kuznetsk Ferroalloys (part of the CEMС Group) for the cancellation of interim measures.
On February 26, the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office against the Antipovs and the company through which they own the assets of the CHEMK Group, for the recovery of shares of three enterprises of the group in favor of the state: JSC Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Combine, JSC Serovsky Ferroalloy Plant and JSC Kuznetsk Ferroalloys. The dispute, according to CEMС, concerned the corporatization of enterprises and their transfer to private ownership.
As part of the consideration of the claim, the court took interim measures, including the seizure of movable and immovable property, as well as shares of the three mentioned plants.
CEMС Group, in addition to ferroalloy plants in Chelyabinsk, Serov and Novokuznetsk, includes LLC Katav-Ivanovsky Foundry (Chelyabinsk region, production of machinery and equipment for metallurgy), LLC Metaglomerate (Chelyabinsk region, mining and processing of iron ore).
In addition, CEMС includes a loading and transshipment complex with the status of a seaport in Vladivostok; a division for the development of the Central chromite ore deposit in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug; a division "Manganese Komi" (Komi), engaged in the development of a manganese ore deposit.
CEMС, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, owns 14.01% of Kopeysky Brick Factory LLC, which is part of the Furbau Group of companies, a large brick manufacturer in the Urals and Siberia.
