Yerevan Reported of a Shelling of the Capital of Nagorno-Karabakh
OREANDA-NEWS. The capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, and other settlements of the unrecognized republic were shelled again. This was reported on Facebook by Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, .
He also accused Azarbaijan of “obvious provocations” in the areas bordering with Iran. According to Hovhannisyan, Azerbaijani units are gathering in large groups in the southern sector of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict area directly along the Iranian border, trying to move forward. “With this tactic, the Azerbaijani side is trying to provoke the Artsakh [Armenian name of Nagorno-Karabakh. – Ed.] side to open fire or strike along the border, in the direction of Iran,” the representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry claimed.
Azerbaijan informed about night battles in the zone of the conflict. The Defense Ministry of the republic reported that artillery attacks continued from both sides.
