OREANDA-NEWS The magistrate of the judicial district of Khamovniki district in Moscow fined Yandex for 2 million rubles for repeated failure to provide law enforcement officers with access to information, RIA Novosti reported in court.

As follows from the published text of the resolution, technical requirements were set before the Yandex.Services service so that law enforcement agencies could "conduct operational search activities against users of the organization." The requirements were not fulfilled on time, which is why in 2022 the company was fined 400 thousand rubles, and later a protocol was also drawn up for repeated violation.

During the hearing, Yandex's defense did not deny the circumstances set out in the protocol on an administrative offense, but drew the court's attention to many violations of the norms of laws when drawing up the protocol.
