OREANDA-NEWS The Yandex Taxi car ordering service has started conducting tests to work in Guatemala under its international brand Yango, it follows from the data of its world map. The press service of the service confirmed to TASS the fact of tests in this state.

According to the Yandex Taxi card, cars connected to the service appear from time to time in the capital of Guatemala, which is also its largest city. Taxi ordering itself is not yet possible both in the application and in the browser version of the service.

Guatemala is the first country in Central America to launch Yandex Taxi tests. Not so long ago, a Yango account was created on Instagram (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) for Guatemala - the first post appeared here a week ago. Earlier tests were launched in South America, in particular, in Peru.

In February 2023, it was reported that Yandex tested the work of Yango in Mozambique and Namibia, and about six months ago - in Algeria. In September 2022, Yango was tested in Dubai (UAE).
