OREANDA-NEWS. The World Health Organization (WHO) almost every day registers record levels of coronavirus infection in the world, this fact indicates growing of pandemic at the global level. This was stated by WHO representative in Russia Melita Vujnovic.

She noted that in total, over half a year, WHO registered more than 10 million cases of COVID-19, and more than 1 million cases have been recorded in each of the last two weeks. According to WHO representative, the possibility of a second wave of coronavirus in Russia depends on compliance with security measures.

Vujnovic urged Moscow residents not to forget about the means of protection against the virus, despite psychological fatigue. She added that the reduction in new cases of the disease is not due to the natural course of the epidemic, but due to public health measures to stop local transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
